Received the assent of the Governor of Punjab on the 30th November, 1954, and was first published in the Punjab Government Gazette Extra-ordinary, dated the 11th December, 1954.
An Act to validate certain procedural defects in relation to the elections to be held for the Sikh Gurdwara Committee.
Be it enacted by the State Legislature of Punjab in the Fifth Year of the Republic of the India as follows :-
1. Short title and commencement. – (1) This Act may be called the Sikh Gurdwaras Committees (Validation) Act, 1954.
(2) It shall come into force at once.

2. Validation of certain elections. – No election to a Sikh Guirdwara Committee shall be void merely on the ground that the Returning Officer for any such Committee constituency was not appointed in accordance with the rules made under the Punjab Sikh Gurdwaras Act, 1925 (Punjab Act VIII of 1925).
